After a season filled with dramatics, big plays, and bone-crushing hits, the NFL’s two best teams have made it to Miami to face off in Super Bowl XLIV on Feb. 7. Representing the AFC are the Indianapolis Colts, who have a lethal passing game led by four-time MVP Peyton Manning, who many consider the best quarterback to ever step on the gridiron. Their respective opponents are the NFC champion New Orleans Saints, who have lifted a city in turmoil that experienced the devastating Hurricane Katrina more than four years ago. All-Pro quarterback Drew Brees has carried their potent first-ranked scoring offense, and has also resurrected a franchise that is appearing in their first ever Super Bowl.
There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that this game will be closely-contested, and will also be a high-scoring shootout. Filled with tons of storylines, this Super Bowl XLIV will be one of the most intriguing matchups in recent memory. The big question circulating around DHS is whose side are you on? Are you rooting for the high-flying Colts? Or do the underdog Saints have you hooked? Neirad Enilno found out what five football fans had to say about the big game.

Sophomore Jay Alter
Saints – “The Colts beat my Jets, so now I want the Colts to get burned.”

Freshman Will Lochtefeld

Senior Brent Eppley
