Last month, Neirad took a look at senior Andrea Smelser’s colorful and collage-filled room. This month we caught a glimpse of junior Amy Sanborn’s Crib. For Amy, it’s more than a place to sleep; it’s a canvas for her and her friends.

“I love the craziness scheme of it” (Not sure what her seven-year-old Bichon, Trixie, thinks of her owner's colorful crib decor)

“I painted these about two years ago on a rainy summer day.”

“This is a new bed as of this summer and I love it! Previously I had been sleeping in a bed that I have had since I left the crib.”

“I love to also fill my walls with pictures of friends and photos that I have taken in art class and with other miscellaneous things. Sometimes when I can’t fall asleep at night I look at my walls and read the things written on it and it makes me fall asleep.”

“I had no inspiration other than my mind set to create something new and interesting on my closet doors other than the boring typical white that lies underneath the now vibrant coloring paint.”

“I’m going to be honest my desk is more there for show. Maybe when I’m really in the studious mood and I will sit there."

“This writing on my walls started way back in 8th grade when my sister started by writing quotes from lyrics and such. Then it continued to my friends writing messages, jokes, or sharing their artistic skills with my walls. I love having my walls filled…it’s kind of spontaneous.”
