The DHS parking lot is quite a sight this year with a new round of shiny cars. Of the 303 seniors last year, about 200 of them drove to school. As of late November, the class of '10 falls shy of this number with only about 180 students with parking passes out of the 285 seniors. Many seniors are still Blue-Listed or do not yet have their licenses. Senior Michelle Bravo received the FIRST parking pass of the year.
There are 243 parking spots, including those around the loop, designated for senior parking. However, it is uncommon to see cars using the 50 spots around the loop. Assistant Principal Michael Sullivan confirmed that "no juniors" are allowed to park this year, nor will they be allowed in the future. It is expected that the number of seniors will increase each year, and then the extra spots will be used.
