My Principal is Psychic

Rumors are scurrying through Darien High School hallways as fast as squirrels scamper across the roads in Darien. Just like the squirrels, the rumors leave students confused and uncertain. Clarifying just one of these many tall tales became this reporter’s fun mission.

The most prominent of those rumors is that our own Principal Dan Haron is a psychic. The mission had begun.

Although Mr. Haron’s paranormal talents initially intimidated me, I soon discovered how completely true this particular story was!

The test began with a deck of ordinary cards. After a short process of selecting a card from the deck, and thinking of the card I selected, sure enough, Mr Haron correctly named the card!

After hearing and seeing him read people’s minds, Mr Haron quickly became interested and started practicing with all different people. For 12 years now, Mr Haron has been attempting and succeeding in reading other’s minds.

In order for his mind to scan into another’s his concentration and focus must be at its best. Although our principal has never saved a life with this particular talent, his mind-reading capabilities do help him to understanding people. “I guess I’m just trying to get to know another person,” Mr Haron said.

You might think working with a person who can read your thoughts would be unnerving or uncomfortable, but not for Mr Haron’s secretary, Mrs. Linda Cambareri. “You can usually anticipate what the other person is thinking or going to say when you work so closely with them. There are many times when we “read” each other’s mind. Mr. Haron’s talents however, are much more sophisticated than this,” Mrs Cambareri said.

Mr Haron said he doesn’t plan to profit on his skills – he has no vision to create a psychic friend’s network.  “Taking money from people, just isn’t my thing,” he said. So, don’t plan on Mr. Haron setting up a shingle outside his office offering this intuitionist service. In fact, he said he thinks many of these commercial ventures, such as fortune telling, are just a hoax.

But it is no mistake Mr Haron can channel our minds, which means you, may not want to think too hard about something that you don’t want him to know!
