For this month's "DHS Cribs," sophomore Ian Sullivan invited Neirad into his sports-filled “crib,” which shows his love and accomplishments for basketball, baseball, and tennis. Looking around Ian’s room, it is hard not to miss his loyalty to the Boston Red Sox and his interest in all types of music. Despite the Red Sox's hard fight against the Tampa Bay Rays, they were shut out of the World Series, but Ian is still sporting his favorite team's paraphenalia. On the other side of the room is a desk for concentrating on important school work and a bulletin board that displays honorary academic awards in all subjects.

“Two years ago, my baseball team, the Darien Blue Sox, was elected to go to a tournament in upstate New York. Only 72 teams from across the country were selected to go, so the fact that we were chosen was really cool. This was my playing jersey, and those are pins that we exchanged with some of the other teams competing."

“These are some of my basketball and baseball trophies. Those plates in the back are tennis awards that I have won from the Stamford Yacht Club. The big one in the center is a leadership and sportsmanship awart that one player recieves every year, so that was a big honor."

“This bulletin board has all of my baseball team pictures on it, and the framed article on the bottom right is autographed by the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey Team, the team that the movie 'Miracle' was filmed about.”

"These are all of my autographed baseballs. I have a lot of old ones, and in the first weekend of September, I went to Fenway Park and I got this one autographed by Hideki Okajima. I also have one signed by Yogi Berra from a Lou Gehrig Foundation Benefit."
