The House Bunny
NEIRAD enilno edition
Big talent, great storyline, and stupid humor; if these things are on your personal list as elements in a great comedy flick, then Anna Faris’s new comedy, “The House Bunny” is a movie you should definitely check out. This movie is perfect for a good laugh on a Friday night with friends, and while the jokes might not be for the person with a mature sense of humor, most people could get a good laugh out of the pure comedic genius that is Anna Faris.
For fans of Faris’s recent movies, the “Scary Movie” series, this movie would be right up your ally, Faris does not disappoint when it comes to her talent in playing the typical dumb blonde, or making her signature immature jokes. While watching the movie, your mind may wander back to the old days, when Faris was playing Cindy in the “Scary Movie’s”, going on ridiculously familiar adventures and falling into hilarious scenarios along the way, but while Faris still flaunts her unique sense of timing in her comedy, her character is very different this time around.
Shelley Darlington (Faris) had been living in the Playboy mansion with Hugh Heffner and the bunnies for years, and had become a favorite of not only Hef, but had become a motherly figure to the other girls, until she unexpectedly got kicked out of the mansion due to her age. Shelley eventually found her way to an outcast sorority, and decides she will take on the job to be their house mother, and try to make them more popular around campus.
One thing this movie definitely does not lack in is star power. Katherine McPhee (American Idol), Emma Stone (Superbad), Rumer Willis, Kat Dennings (Charlie Bartlett), Colin Hanks (Orange County), and Tyson Ritter (All-American Rejects) are just a few examples of stars in the movie, along with many other cameos by famous sports and reality show stars.
“The House Bunny” may not be getting the best reviews, but that could be due to the fact that the movie did not get a lot of commercial time, and most people might think that the only people that could enjoy a movie about a dumb blonde from the Playboy mansion would be girls, but that is definitely not true. The movie has a character for everyone to relate to, from the shy and nerdy to the outgoing and flirtatious, this flick will grab everyone by the collar and drag them in. l list as elements in a great comedy flick, then Anna Faris’s new comedy, “The House Bunny” is a movie you should definitely check out.
