Want to check out Video Equipment?

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE AUDIO-VISUAL CENTER AND VIDEO PRODUCTION STUDIO

The AV Center offers a wide selection of equipment for use for school related projects. Students may check out projectors, cameras, video equipment, tape recorders, etc., provided they have an equipment release form signed by their parents assuming responsibility if the item is lost or damaged. Students and staff must sign up in advance to reserve equipment. Equipment that has been reserved should be picked up in the AV Editing Room at the end of the school day and returned before the start of the next school day. Failure to return equipment on time will result in fines being incurred. Use of the AV room by students, staff, and classes is by appointment only.

Searching for Information?

The DHS library online databases are accessed with a username and password. If you are unable to access the databases, please see a librarian or send an email to dhslibrary@darienps.org from your school email account. iCONN is accessible from home with a public library card number.

Need help finding a book?

Start with the DHS Library online catalog, since it is our Destiny...

  • Basic Search - search by keyword, title, author, etc. to find books in our collection, read summaries, and check whether or not they are currently available to check out.
  • Resource Lists - check the different Public Lists for World Literature book suggestions as well as interest specific book lists created for Contempory Fiction, but would be interesting for any reader.

If you can't find it in our library, use ReQuest, an iCONN resource, to search the online catalogs of many public & acadamic libraries throughout the state of CT). A public library card # is required to access ReQuest from home and to place holds on or to check out downloadable audiobooks.

Finally, use some of our Online Databases to locate a good book:
